Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Scholarship Program: For the eleventh consecutive year, Foot Locker will be awarding incoming college freshmen with $20,000 in scholarship funding to pursue a 4-year college degree - not because they scored the most touchdowns or goals, but because sports have helped them grow into strong leaders at school and in their communities.

La Capitale (LA) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated HBCU Scholarships were established to assist graduating seniors residing in East or West Baton Rouge and obtaining a college degree from Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical University.
DEMCO Essay Contest
Each year since 1978, this contest has been our method to identify four 11th grade students from our service area to participate as DEMCO delegates at the National Rural Electric Youth Tour, in Washington, D.C.
Students are invited to submit an essay in the form of a letter addressed to a political leader, on a topic of concern and importance to the student author. Contest rules are posted at www.DEMCO.org/Community.
STEM NOLA

Participating Students will learn the fundamental's of the respiratory system. Students will design and build their own mechanical lungs. By the end of the session, students will learn about the importance of the respiratory system and how lungs work.

P-EBT Information
The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services has a Parent Portal that allows you to view and receive information about your student’s P-EBT benefits. You will need to create a CAFE account and link your student's P-EBT case to your CAFE account. We encourage you to do this to verify the information that we sent on your behalf.

2021-2022 Mayor's Youth Advisory Council
The East Baton Rouge Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is seeking applicants to lead initiatives in the city and provide a voice for their peers to the city government of East Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The selection committee hopes to create a diverse body of individuals who are dedicated to community service and addressing the concerns of youth in our community.

SULS is pleased to announce a partnership with Care South Medical to assist with student vaccinations and LHSAA sports physicals. Vaccinations & Physicals will take place on Tuesday, Aug 10, 2021. Cafeteria Information 21/22SY
During the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year all students were able to eat for free via SSO or Seamless Summer Option. The US Department of Agriculture and Louisiana Department of Education has announced the release of new Child and Nutrition waivers that will allow SULS to continue to serve free meals (breakfast and lunch) to all students during the 2021-2022 school year. Tuition Information 21/22SY
Southern University Laboratory School is a tuition-based school, and in order to operate properly and effectively, we must have sufficient funds in place. As we continue to maximize the learning opportunity for our students, it is imperative that families not only fulfill their financial obligations, but also pay them in a timely manner. Beginning the 2021-2022 school year, students must be current in their tuition and fees prior to the start of school.
Southern University College of Agriculture: Bayou Camp
The Virtual beginning Agricultural Youth Opportunities Unlimited Program provides an opportunity for high school students to gain “first hand” knowledge about career opportunities in Agriculture, Family and Consumer science and related disciplines. The program will be delivered virtually as we continue to fight our way through the COVID-19 Pandemic.
SULS Summer Enrichment - Bridging the Gap
In order to maximize the opportunity to polish and strengthen skills in math and ELA while having fun through interactive, hands-on activities, and games, we are offering a half day summer program for our students. This will also give us an opportunity to fill in gaps academically that may have occurred due to COVID-19 and its effects on learning.
