SULS Summer Enrichment - Bridging the Gap
Southern University Laboratory School is pleased to announce our summer program for students in grades 6 through 12. In order to maximize the opportunity to polish and strengthen skills in math and ELA while having fun through interactive, hands-on activities, and games, we are offering a half day summer program for our students. This will also give us an opportunity to fill in gaps academically that may have occurred due to COVID-19 and its effects on learning. Summer hours will be from 8:30 to 3:30, Monday through Thursday beginning June 1 to July 1.
The first part of the day will be academic enrichment with SULS staff, and the second part of the day will include STEM activities in engineering and/or science provided by the College of Science and Engineering (COSE). This will broaden the access of students to STEM careers by exposing the participants to available options in an environment that facilitates intellectual exchange, academic enrichment, and fosters the learning, sharing, and growing processes. The camp will be $100 which will cover the cost of the camp plus 2 t-shirts. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
