It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as Principal of this extraordinary institution, a place that has shaped my life in the most meaningful ways. I am not only the leader of this school, I am also a proud alumna and the parent of current students. Southern Lab is in my blood, my heart, and my home. It has given so much to me over the years, and I am deeply committed to giving back by helping shape the next generation of Jaguar scholars, leaders, and changemakers.

At Southern Lab, our foundation is built on four powerful pillars: scholarship, family, legacy, and spirit. These aren’t just words we say; they are lived values that guide every decision we make and every experience we create for our students.

Scholarship 

Academic excellence is at the core of our mission. We are committed to providing a rigorous and engaging curriculum that challenges students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world. Our faculty is made up of dedicated, passionate educators who understand that learning is not one-size-fits-all. They work tirelessly to create an environment that supports both high achievement and personal growth, helping every student reach their full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally.

 Family 

Southern Lab is more than a school; it is a family. There is a unique closeness within our walls, a sense of belonging and connection that extends across generations. Parents, teachers, students, alumni, and staff all play an important role in creating the nurturing environment that sets our school apart. As both a parent and an educator, I see firsthand how powerful it is when a school and its families work hand in hand to support a child’s development.

Many of our students are children and grandchildren of alumni, continuing a powerful tradition of educational excellence and community pride. We honor the achievements of those who came before us while preparing today’s students to carry the torch forward with strength, purpose, and vision.

 Spirit 

Perhaps the most defining characteristic of Southern Lab is our Kitten Spirit, a vibrant, unbreakable energy that binds us together. It is seen in our athletic teams, heard in our music and performances, and felt in every classroom, hallway, and community event. It is a spirit of resilience, determination, pride, and unity. It reminds us that we are part of something larger than ourselves, a legacy of excellence and a future full of promise.

 As Principal, my vision is to continue building a school where every student feels seen, valued, and equipped to achieve greatness. I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I believe in the incredible potential of every student who walks through our doors. Together, we will continue to elevate Southern Lab, blending tradition with innovation, and cultivating a school culture that reflects the best of who we are and all that we aspire to be.
