Southern University Laboratory School is proud to share an exciting college access opportunity for our college-bound Kittens! Preparing for life after graduation means exposure, preparation, and confidence, and the 2026 Imagination Leads Summer HBCU Tour delivers all three.
This transformative experience is designed specifically for current high school juniors and seniors who are interested in attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Through guided campus visits, hands-on workshops, and intentional college readiness support, students will gain valuable insight into college life, admissions expectations, and their future possibilities.
What the 2026 HBCU Tour Includes
Participants selected for the program will take part in a structured, supportive journey that includes:
College Readiness Orientation (June 2026)
A required pre-tour session that prepares students for the experience ahead and sets expectations for the college application process.Multi-Campus HBCU Tour (July 10–11, 2026)
Students will travel across Alabama and Georgia, visiting multiple HBCU campuses and gaining firsthand exposure to academic programs, campus culture, and student life.College Check-In Workshops
Ongoing workshops designed to support students as they navigate applications, admissions timelines, and decision-making related to higher education.
This is more than a campus tour; it’s a college preparation experience that helps students envision themselves thriving in higher education.
Who Should Apply
Current high school juniors and seniors
Students are seriously considering attending an HBCU
Students willing to commit to all required sessions, including the orientation and workshops

HBCU Tour Dates: July 10–11, 2026
