The National 4-H Agri-Science Summit brings teens from across the country to Washington D.C. to collaborate with experts to discuss issues within agriculture.

On February 4-5, 2022, Southern University Law Center, in partnership with Diverse Representation, will present the first-of-its-kind Sports Agent Bootcamp. The aim of this event is to equip attendees with the tools and skill sets to pursue careers as professional sports agents. The two-day event will feature several workshops and panels facilitated by professional sports agents and executives. Open to the public.

Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation is accepting applications for the 2022 College & Career Ready Initiative’s Pre-Law Institute, which is being offered in partnership with Southern University Law Center. The institute will take place January 18, 2022 through April 2, 2022, Mondays through Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The DEMCO essay contest is underway! Entries accepted Nov. 1, 2021 through Jan. 21, 2022. Students are invited to submit an essay in the form of a letter addressed to a political leader, on a topic of concern and importance to the student author. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Scholarship Program: For the eleventh consecutive year, Foot Locker will be awarding incoming college freshmen with $20,000 in scholarship funding to pursue a 4-year college degree - not because they scored the most touchdowns or goals, but because sports have helped them grow into strong leaders at school and in their communities.

La Capitale (LA) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated HBCU Scholarships were established to assist graduating seniors residing in East or West Baton Rouge and obtaining a college degree from Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical University.

Each year since 1978, this contest has been our method to identify four 11th grade students from our service area to participate as DEMCO delegates at the National Rural Electric Youth Tour, in Washington, D.C.

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services has a Parent Portal that allows you to view and receive information about your student’s P-EBT benefits. You will need to create a CAFE account and link your student's P-EBT case to your CAFE account. We encourage you to do this to verify the information that we sent on your behalf.

The East Baton Rouge Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is seeking applicants to lead initiatives in the city and provide a voice for their peers to the city government of East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
