Southern University Laboratory School would like to invite you to our Esports informational meeting on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 6 PM. We launched our Esports program during the 2019-2020 school year, and experienced much success. We ended the school year with one of our very own winning a National Championship and scholarship money. Esports is more than just gaming; it enhances students academically in STEM related courses, it strengthens critical and logical thinking skills, and much, much more. Come out and join Christopher Turner, our Esports coach and teacher, to hear more about how your child can be a part of this wonderful program.

SULS Esports spring team off to a fast start
The Southern University Laboratory School Esports program is off to a great Spring Season. The Madden 20 team has three members, Devin Spurlock, Landon Hunt, and De Wiliie Sensley. Even during the Covid-19 crisis, these students have maintained school work as well as awesome esports play. In the Playstation bracket of the High School Esports League (HSEL) Spring Tournament. Devin Spurlock has a 2-1 record and DeWillie has a 3-0 record. Landon Hunt has a 2-1 record on the Xbox side of the bracket. All players have five more games until the playoffs. The esports student athletes are competing for a $1000 scholarship. " I talk to the students everyday via the esports teams discord. They are hungry for a championship and eager to go back to school."
