We are so grateful to all of the parents who joined us for our August PTO meeting and Parent University. We had a record number of attendees—thank you for showing up and staying engaged in our school community!

August’s Parent University session, “Tech Savvy,” guided families through how to use JCampus Progress Center, Google Classroom Guardian Summaries, and MealTime. If you were unable to attend or would like to review the information, you can view the slide deck- August Parent University

PSAT Testing – October 15

On Tuesday, October 15, all students in grades 8–11 will take the PSAT. This important assessment helps students practice for the SAT and provides valuable information about college and career readiness.

For our 11th-grade students, the PSAT also serves as the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program. High performance can open the door to scholarship opportunities and national recognition.

To help students prepare, families can access the official PSAT practice test and information booklet -Taking the PSAT. We encourage students to review the materials ahead of time so they can feel confident on test day.

Sign Up Now for the October ACT!

Parents and students, don’t miss the opportunity to register for the October 18 ACT test. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 12. You can register at myACT.org.

The October ACT is one of only three test dates each year that offers the Test Information Release (TIR) service. With TIR, students receive a copy of their test questions, their answers, and the correct answers. This valuable resource helps students understand their mistakes and better prepare for future test dates.

We encourage students to take the ACT more than once. Research shows that most students improve their scores the second or third time they test. Even a small increase in score can expand college admission opportunities and may qualify students for additional scholarships.

We encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity! Juniors and seniors can see their school counselor for information about test waivers.

Google Classroom Class Login Information

We are excited to share that you can stay connected to your child’s learning by joining their Google Classroom as a parent/guardian. By joining, you will receive email summaries that include upcoming assignments and due dates, class announcements, and updates on missing work.

These summaries will help you stay informed and support your child’s academic success. Please note that parents do not log directly into Google Classroom; instead, you receive the information through email once you accept the teacher’s invitation.

If you have not yet received an invitation to join, please reach out to your child’s teacher, and one will be sent to you. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this tool to stay engaged with classroom activities and student progress.
