Postponement of Orientation & Uniform Update
On Thursday, August 3, 2023 Southern University experienced a campus wide power outage. As a result, SUBR staff will work remotely Friday, August 4, 2023. Consequently, SULS will not have orientation on Saturday, August 5, 2023, thus postponing orientation to Saturday, August 12, 2023.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 09, 2023.
Elementary
Parents will be able to drop off their supplies on August 7, 2023 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Students will be allowed to exit their vehicles at 7:30 am. Elementary students will report to the cafeteria if they choose to eat breakfast (Meal Time) or go to their classroom.
CarPool Information
Middle & High School
Parents will be able to drop off their supplies on August 7, 2023 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Students will be allowed to exit their vehicles at 7:30 am. Middle & High School students will report to the cafeteria if they choose to eat breakfast (Meal Time) or go to the commons area outside.
Once the bell rings for class, students will be directed to report to designated areas to retrieve their schedules. Next, another bell will ring for the students to report to 1st period.

Uniform Update and Information
Dear Parents,
We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen supply chain issues and the availability of some items, the completion of some orders may be delayed. You will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, for a limited time, the enforcement of the uniform policy will lenient until after labor day, as follows:
- Dress day will commence on Monday, September 14, 2023; and
- School logos will not be required on school-approved uniform items until Wednesday, September 6, 2023. (NOTE: Dri-Fit/Performance polo shirts are not allowed.)
Please know the PTO/Kitten Club corps of parent volunteers is working diligently to complete as many orders as possible.
