Spotlight on Excellence: Aiden Jones, A Shining Example of Service and Leadership at Southern University Laboratory School
At the Southern University Laboratory School, we pride ourselves on nurturing not only academic excellence but also the character and compassion of our students. Today, we are proud to shine a well-deserved spotlight on one of our outstanding young scholars, Aiden Jones.
Aiden, a current 7th-grade student, has been a cherished member of the Southern University Laboratory School family since the first grade. Over the years, he has grown into a bright, responsible, and community-minded young leader. His journey at the Lab School has been one marked by academic diligence, kindness toward others, and a commitment to making a difference.
Aiden is an active and proud member of the Junior Beta Club, an organization that promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service amongst elementary and middle school students. He has embraced these values wholeheartedly, recently completing a remarkable project that showcases his dedication to service.
Aiden led a successful campaign, raising an impressive $2,000.00 for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. His motivation? A deep desire to bring comfort and support to children facing serious health challenges. Through his efforts, Aiden has demonstrated that age is no barrier to making a big impact.
“Aiden is charismatic, caring, and a team player,” says one of his teachers. “He is extremely enthusiastic about his classwork and the positive impact he has on his peers.”
As Aiden continues his journey at the Southern University Laboratory School, we know that his future is bright and full of promise. His actions serve as a powerful reminder of what young people can accomplish when they are supported, empowered, and guided by strong values.
Congratulations, Aiden! Your Lab School family is incredibly proud of you. Keep shining and inspiring others with your generosity, leadership, and Lab pride!
