Celebrating Our CNA Graduates

We are proud to announce that three outstanding students from Southern University Laboratory School Bryson (11th grade), Dynastee (12th grade), and Harmonee (12th grade) have completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Institute offered through UREC and Southern University. This rigorous program, which ran from September 30, 2025, to January 11, 2026, combined classroom instruction, clinical training, and preparation for the Louisiana state CNA exam. [urecbr.com]

Under the leadership of Mrs. Lauri Patterson from UREC, these students honed essential healthcare skills, learning to take vital signs, assist with daily patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and gain real world clinical experience at Med‑Advance in Baton Rouge. They also earned stipends upon completion, a well-deserved reward for their dedication. [tithely-me...abisys.com], [urecbr.com] [urecbr.com]

What’s Next for Our Graduates?

Having completed both classroom and clinical instruction and passed the exam, Bryson, Dynastee, and Harmonee are now Certified Nursing Assistants! They’re ready to launch meaningful careers in hospitals, long‑term care facilities, and home health agencies. We couldn’t be prouder of these exemplary students and the promising futures that await them.

Let’s cheer on Bryson, Dynastee, and Harmonee as they embark on this new journey, carrying Southern University Laboratory School’s tradition of excellence.
