Celebrating Excellence: Reginald Ellis Awarded Greater Baton Rouge State Fair Scholarship
At Southern University Laboratory School, we proudly highlight students who lead with purpose and passion. Reginald Ellis is one of those exceptional scholars who is an aspiring Business and Finance major whose academic drive is matched by his heart for service. Whether he's tutoring peers after school, helping beautify the community through the City of Baker Clean Up Initiative, or volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, Reginald exemplifies the values that make SULS a place of excellence.
Reginald’s commitment to academic achievement and leadership development reflects the very best of what it means to be a Kitten. His involvement in after-school tutoring not only supports his classmates but also strengthens the culture of collaboration and care that defines our school. Through his volunteer work with local organizations, Reginald demonstrates a deep sense of civic responsibility and compassion for others.
As he prepares for a future in Business and Finance, Reginald continues to build a foundation of excellence rooted in service, scholarship, and integrity. He was recently awarded a four-year, $20,000 scholarship from the Southern University Honors College. This is an achievement that recognizes both his academic potential and his dedication to making a difference.
We’re proud to celebrate his journey and the impact he continues to make on campus and beyond. His story is a reminder of the power of education to shape leaders who uplift their communities and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
