Celebrating Academic Excellence: Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony – Feb 19th

At Southern University Laboratory School, academic excellence is not accidental—it is intentional, cultivated, and celebrated. We are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students during our upcoming Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

This special occasion honors students who have demonstrated consistent dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their academic success. Formal invitations have been sent home with all qualifying students, and we look forward to celebrating their accomplishments with family members and our school community.

Program Schedule

To ensure a meaningful and age‑appropriate experience for all students, ceremonies will be held at the following times:

  • Elementary & Middle School: 9:30 AM

  • High School: 1:30 PM

Dress for Success

All honored students are required to wear Dress for Success attire. This professional dress code reflects the significance of the moment and reinforces the values of pride, preparation, and excellence as we celebrate student achievement. Students who are not properly dressed will not be allowed to participate in the program.

Understanding Honor Roll Recognition

For families’ reference, the Honor Roll tiers and grading breakdown have been shared to provide clarity on recognition levels and academic benchmarks. We appreciate our families’ partnership in supporting high expectations and celebrating student success.

We are excited to recognize our scholars and applaud their hard work. Thank you for your continued commitment to academic excellence at Southern University Laboratory School, because excellence is by choice, not by chance.

P.S. The Laboratory School will observe the Mardi Gras holiday on February 16-18, 2026. School will be in session on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
