SULS School Opening Letter
As we prepare for the opening of the 2020/2021 school year and closely monitor COVID-19, we want to keep you informed about our plans and your options as it relates to your child attending school.
As we prepare for the opening of the 2020/2021 school year and closely monitor COVID-19, we want to keep you informed about our plans and your options as it relates to your child attending school. The school is preparing for a variety of instructional models that include face to face learning, virtual learning and a blended model. Please take a moment to review the attached information to learn more, and answer the parent survey that follows. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. SULS staff has been in communication with the Louisiana State Department of Education (LDOE), Southern University, Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA), local school districts and schools to best find solutions during this unprecedented time. We have updated the Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) sheet for our stakeholders. It is our goal as you review the attached information that most of your questions and/or concerns are answered. Please understand that multiple governmental agencies must provide us with guidance and/or answers before we can finalize dates, secure locations, and make final decisions relative to school activities, programs, and events.
