Dive Into Innovation: Join the 2026 SeaPerch Team at SULS!
Southern University Laboratory School is excited to announce the formation of our 2026 SeaPerch Team, and we want YOU to be part of this incredible journey!
SeaPerch is a hands-on STEM program where students design, build, and operate underwater robots called ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles). These robots tackle real-world challenges in marine environments, and this year’s theme is Storm Response: Technology in Action for Recovery and Relief. Students will learn engineering, buoyancy, circuitry, and teamwork—all while preparing for regional and national competitions.
Why Join SeaPerch?
Learn real-world engineering and design skills
Work as part of a dynamic team
Compete in exciting obstacle and mission courses
Explore careers in robotics, ocean engineering, and environmental science
The regional competitions will take place in the Spring semester.
Who Can Join?
Students in grades 7–12 who are curious, creative, and ready to take on a challenge. No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
Practices will take place after school and on some weekends!
How to Sign Up
The sign-up sheet is located in the front office, and students can register before school, during lunch, or after school. Don’t wait—secure your spot and start your journey into underwater robotics today!
